Sainsbury’s Closures

I am guessing you have heard of the saying, ‘As one door closes another door opens?’ Well that saying couldn’t be more true of the works that Sainsbury’s  have been completing recently. Here at Dartmouth, we have been completing a number of closures for Sainsbury’s as they consolidate and open up new Sainsbury’s locals in a number of new areas.

DGCL completed the closures for the following sites:

• Andover
• Portsmouth
• Gloucester
• Northampton
• Hanley
• Slough
• Welshpool
• Fulwell

There is more to closing down a site than you might imagine. Here’s a list of what we had to remove:

Signage internally and externally, totem, terminate any electrical feeds at the DB

Branding from the whole car park and all access roads

All furniture and office equipment

Kiosk and Flight system, terminate any electrical feeds

Checkouts and Flight system, terminate any electrical feeds

Cold stores, remove associated pipework, protection, degas and terminate any electrical feeds at the DB and make good floor

All gondola and ambient display equipment

All Service Counters, remove associated pipework, degas and terminate any electrical feeds

All Bakery equipment/plant, remove associated pipework, degas and terminate any electrical feeds

All Refrigeration plant, remove associated pipework, degas and terminate any electrical feeds

All Refrigeration cabinets, remove associated pipework, degas and terminate any electrical feeds

All redundant plant and make good any service penetrations

Generator and terminate any electrical feeds

CCTV & Alarm equipment, associated infrastructure and terminate any electrical feeds

All office safes

All warehouse racking

All warehouse cages

All warehouse equipment and terminate any electrical feeds at the DB

All feature lighting on shop floor and terminate any electrical feeds at the DB

All over-boarding to shop floor

All Trolley Guard Rail internally to the shop floor Cafe and Concession removal PFS – Totem, Air and Water Machines, removal of pumps Concession to be de branded.
